Africa DMTV Kenya launched a commercial Mobile TV service in October 2007 based on Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld (DVB-H) technology, hoping to access some of the 11 million Kenyan mobile phone users, which is a lot more than the countries 1.5 million terrestrial TV users. UEFA Champions League cut off by Vodafone
Vodafone will end their three-year sponsorship of the Champions League at the conclusion of the 2008-09 season after Uefa were unable to guarantee them exclusive rights to key areas of content distribution over other mobile phone companies. It is understood that the current deal is worth around £8 million a year to Uefa.
